Confirmado: Juan Antonio Bayona dirigirá “Saga Crepúsculo: Eclipse”

En una noticia que ha sorprendido a muchos, en vista de que no “sonaba” su nombre, el cineasta español Juan Antonio Bayona será el encargado de dirigir la tercera de las película de la exitosa saga Crepúsculo, con lo que el protegido de Guillermo del Toro tendrá un gran reto en los próximos meses en la dirección de la cinta estelarizada por Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart y Taylor Lautner, según informa Variety.
Bayona es másr conocido por la cinta “El orfanato” (The Orphanage), cinta rodada en español, con lo que extrañamente el joven cineasta asumirá el reto de dirigir un filme con tantas expectativas creadas sin nunca haber dirigido una película en inglés. Es una gran apuesta y riezgo que asume la productora Summit Entertainment.
A pesar de nunca haber dirigido en idioma Inglés hasta ahora (esta dirigiendo una en la actualidad), Bayona es un experto del género de terror, por lo que todo pinta a que esto pesó mucho más que su poca experiencia en el idioma de Hollywood.
Bayona trabaja actualmente en el filme “Hater” que tiene a Guillermo del Toro como productor y que es oficialmente su primero en inglés y el cual podría estrenarse antes que Eclipse.
La primera cinta de Crepúsculo fue dirigida por Catherine Hardwicke, Luna Nueva la primera secuela que inicia rodaje este mes será dirigida por Chris Weitz.
Otros nombres que sonaban con insistencia para dirigir a Eclipse eran Drew Barrymore, James Mangold y Paul Weitz, hermano de Chris Weitz.
Es un super gran reto el que tendrá Bayona, y esperemos que como hispano salga bien de esto, pues si lo logra sus bonos en Hollywood se irán por las nubes.
Sobre Juan Antonio Bayona
Nació el 9 de mayo de 1975 en Barcelona. Estudiante de la primera promoción del ESCAC (Escola Superior de Cinema i Audiovisuals de Catalunya) en el año 2007 realizó su debut en el mundo del largometraje dirigiendo su primera película “El Orfanato”. La película fue un éxito de crítica y taquilla. Posee una larga trayectoria dirigiendo videoclips para grupos musicales como OBK, Camela, Fangoria, Lorena C o Nena Daconte. Realizó dos cortometrajes galardonados en distintos festivales, Mis vacaciones (1999) y El hombre esponja (2002).

jajajaja….bajaron de golpe a la Barrymore…ella ya tenia sus espectativas montadas en “Eclipse”..y salen con esta…pobrecita,pero bueno…esperemos que el que han escogido…haga de “Eclipse”..una …¡¡EXCELENTE!!..pelicula…y la productura no haya metido la pata….
si es hispano, no puedo esperar a ver eclipse, ademas el orfanato tiene exelentes efectos es buenisima !!!
